- Aim: Using film to explore an issue. Produced for and by young people uploaded to YouTube to target their peers.
- Skills: Pre-Production, brain storming, screen writing, scripting, crew building & production roles. Participative training using industry standard HD film, sound and lighting equipment. Hands on filming, sound mixing & directing. Behind the scenes filming on HD hand cams and iPad2.
- Outcomes: Draft screenings to highlight required amendments. Oscar celebration launch in Cinema.

| Digital Photography |
- Aim: Train to use point and shoot cameras using settings to be creative for documenting .
- Skills: How to use a point & shoot or DSLR cameras, looking at macros, focus, shutter, flash use, night time photography, composition, meaning & group shots. Bring your own camera is recommended but we provided 10 cameras & laptops. 2-3 week project.
- Outcomes: Digital photo editing, capturing to computer, enhancing, emailing, montages & slideshows.

| DJ’ing & Digital Music Making |
- Aim: To easily produce dance music and learn how to DJ. For groups of up to 30 people, this workshop can tie in with Photography workshop where half the group make the CD album sleeve.
- Skills: Using midi decks hooked up to iTunes on a macbook & speakers, young people taught to scratch, beatmatch, mix and perform. Using laptops group make dance music using loop software .
- Outcomes: Song production on CD or created as ringtones for mobile phones.

- Aim: To train community groups on safety advice for young people. Setting up safe Facebook pages and maximise social marketing.
- Skills: Explaining marketing and networking potential. Using it to manage staff. Child protection.
- Outcomes: Safer online presence. In longer projects we can bring in laptops & internet to set up a page, step by step, including admin and privacy settings and ways to boost followers.

| The Troubles & the Media |
- Aim: Many young people today were born after the Good Friday agreement and can know little about the troubles, yet sectarianism still evidently exists. This workshop uses film and photography and in the most neutral way possible looks back to explain the reasons why our country is the way it is and our journey towards a brighter future.
- Outcomes: Greater knowledge of the past and vision into the future. Concluding workshops can include visits to Drumcree, local museums, Jails, S. Armagh rambling and city mural tours.

| Females in the music industry |
- Aim: For young women to promote positive body image and highlight the role of media in creating unrealistic role models.
- Skills: Looking at role models, celebrity culture, glamour and airbrushing techniques, striving for non achievable digital beauty & the con-sequencing effects.
- Outcomes: A new outlook on celebrity culture and beauty. This can conclude with a studio photo-shoot with a female youth worker photographer aiming to capture beauty with innocence.

| Radio Production |
- Aim: Give young people an opportunity to produce and present a real radio show.
- Skills: Show prep, technical training, DJ skills, Jingle making, interview technique, desk operation, BNL have direct access to Xtreme FM radio station which can be hired with SELB permission. This allows groups real broadcast time, presenting, and DJing. This can be recorded and/or streamed live on the internet.
- Outcomes: Finished and recorded shows along with skills to set up community radio stations. Talk to BNL about how to set up your own community radio station.

| Moving from PC to Mac. |
- Aim: Helping people who are familiar with PCs are apprehensive about changing to a Mac.
- Skills: Learn the similarities and differences between Mac and PC’s through software comparison and practical experience. Learning the distinct characteristics of Mac’s and discovering how simple Mac’s can be when used correctly.
- Outcomes: Understand all basic functions and software. Maintain effective knowledge to underpin all future use of a Mac and transfer PC based knowledge to Mac specific ability.

- Aim: Demonstrating that macs are filled with free creative software which can easily create unbelievable products quickly.

- Outcomes: : Understand and have a working knowledge of the native software and user specific software available on Mac.
