Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council are pleased to announce that applications for bar services at the UK Pipe Band Championships 2023 are now open. We are very excited about this event and invite you to apply below.

This fun-filled event will have something for everyone and is being promoted on various channels including social media, newspapers, radio campaigns, flyers, and signage across the towns.

BNL Productions have been appointed by Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council to deliver this event. UK Pipe Band Championships

Lurgan Park, Saturday 10th June 10AM – 6PM

Bar Opening times 11:30am – 5:30pm

The closing date for applications is Friday 17th March 2023 at 12pm.

Successful applicants will be notified via email on Tuesday 28th March 2023.

Organised in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, the UK Pipe Band championships is a competition that will feature potentially over 3,000 players. This includes the best local pipers from varying competition grades ranging from juvenile right up to Grade One, along with drum majors and highland dancers, who will all be hoping to be crowned UK champions. The competition starts at 10am on the splendid grounds of Lurgan Park and visitors will have the rare opportunity to see world-class bands competing for the coveted championship title and enjoy music from a range of talented players.

Application for Bar service at UK Pipe Band Championships must be submitted via the online application link below. 

This application WILL REQUIRE a Google Account to complete it will ask you to upload documents and images. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one by clicking here. You will be asked to upload the following documents so please ensure you have them at hand before starting the application process. Please also ensure you read and understand the Bar Service Conditions of Entry and Selection Process before completing your application. This document has all the relevant information you will need to complete your application in full.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

Have you the ability to obtain a licence in time for the event    

Proof of registration with local authority Environmental Health Department

Provision of locally produced products for sale

Copy of GasSafe certificate if using gas appliances (if applicable)

Portable Appliance Test (PAT) Certificate for all electrical appliances.

Employers Liability Insurance cover of a minimum of £5 million

Public Liability Insurance cover of a minimum of £10 million

Applications close on Friday 17th March at 12 noon, 2023

OTHER INFORMATION (please see full CONDITIONS OF ENTRY HERE) 

• Vendors will be required to complete set up on Friday 9th June, Lurgan Park. Arrival slots will be allocated prior to the event
• Parking is available in all town centres and surrounding areas (Vendors are responsible for any applicable parking charges)
• Vendor will be expected to obtain an appropriate intoxicating liquor licence at his/her own cost.
• Bar must stay open until 5:30pm, adequate stock levels must be provided to ensure service is provided until this time
• Strictly no vehicle movement is permitted before each event closes to the public.
• Power will be supplied by event organisers, BNL Productions as per detail provided within the application form
• Bar service fees must be paid as part of the application process, this will be completed when application has been awarded. Fees can be found detailed below.
• Costs for the event –
  • UK Pipe Band Championships – £200 Fees – includes a minimum size of a 9m x 9m marquee, electricity supply and security staff.
