Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council is pleased to announce that applications for trading at the markets below are now open. We are very excited about these events and invite you to apply below.

These fun-filled events will have something for everyone and are being promoted on various channels including social media, newspapers, radio campaigns, flyers, and signage across the towns.

BNL Productions have been appointed by Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council to deliver these events. This web page has been built to ensure you get the most up-to-date information available.  This will include updates and information on Vendor applications, key contacts, and other information relevant to the events.

Food and Cider Weekend 2022

  1. Sundown Market – Friday 9th Sept, 4pm to 9pm. Solitude Park, Banbridge
  2. Urban Orchard Market –Saturday 10th Sept, 12pm to 6pm for craft traders and 12pm to 9pm for hot food and alcohol traders. Shambles Yard, Armagh

Georgian Day Festival 2022

FOOD & CIDER WEEKEND 2022

A celebration of tasty local cuisine and cider, show-casing all that the Borough’s many tempting eateries, orchards and breweries have to offer.  From Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th September the Food & Cider Weekend will give diners and craft brew enthusiasts an opportunity to sample local hospitality at its best with pop-up restaurants, themed menus, food tours, orchard tours, entertainment, bespoke food and drink events and much, much more!  The Weekend will see a wide range of events including two Artisan Food and Cider Markets starting on Friday 9th September with Banbridge Sundown Market and Saturday 10th September, Armagh Urban Orchard Market.  The aim of the Artisan Food and Cider Markets is to offer a range of products that are not readily available on the high street.  The product offer should be distinctive, diverse and speciality and where possible be produced or grown in the NI Region.

GEORGIAN DAY FESTIVAL 2022

A weekend of activity bringing Armagh’s Georgian history and characters alive. The city’s Georgian architecture provides the backdrop for this authentic event and activities include: Living History characters interacting with visitors and bespoke activities that describe what life was like in the Georgian period. The Festival also has spectacular Christmas light shows which are projected onto the Georgian facade of Armagh City Library.

On Saturday 26th November, Armagh city hosts Georgian Day. Included in the day’s activities is the open-air Market located on the city streets. It offers the best in local and regional food, drink, crafts and draws many visitors to the city centre. The event encourages visitor interaction, from our market traders wearing costumes, period activities on the day and street performers of all ages dressed in full Georgian Costume creating unique and colourful performances.

This application WILL REQUIRE a Google Account to complete it will ask you to upload documents and images. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one by clicking here. You will be asked to upload the following documents so please ensure you have them at hand before starting the application process. Please also ensure you read and understand the Bar Service Conditions of Entry and Selection Process before completing your application. This document has all the relevant information you will need to complete your application in full.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

  • Proof of registration with local authority Environmental Health Department (Food Vendors only)
  • Copy of GasSafe certificate if using gas appliances (if applicable)
  • Portable Appliance Test (PAT) Certificate for all electrical appliances.
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Images to show your stock and stall setup are also required (Maximum of 6)

PLEASE NOTE: To have as wide a variety of quality stalls for our visitors, we would like to receive applications from many categories of trader. If we receive a large number of applications from similar traders, during selection we will limit numbers in accordance with the size of the Market site, visitor numbers and across categories.

PLEASE NOTE – Alcohol will be allowed to be sold by individual traders at the Georgian Day event under their own producer’s licence (We are aware that this new licence does not open until June so if you are interested in selling at Georgian Day you should apply to this application process now & you can send us the licence once obtained). No consumption on site, this should be ‘off-sales’ style where items should be bagged & taken home by customers but this must be the producer’s own brand/produce and not ‘high street’ products.

  • Vendors will be required to complete set up on the following days for each of the Market events. Arrival slots will be allocated prior to the event

Georgian Day

    • Georgian Day – Saturday 26th November. (9am – 11am) Times TBC
  • Traders locations will be allocated and clearly marked, these locations cannot be moved and are assigned for specific site reasons
  • Free Parking is available for each event.
  • Strictly no vehicle movement is permitted before each event closes to the public.
  • Power will be supplied by event organisers, BNL Productions as per detail provided within each application form
  • Trader fees must be paid as part of the application process, this will be completed when application has been awarded. Fees can be found detailed below.
  • Costs for traders –
    • Single Stall, 3m x 3m within marquee – £50
    • Double Stall, 6m x 3m within marquee – £100
    • Vehicle/trailer, 6m x 3m, outside – £150
  • If you are successful you will receive payment instructions via email

Have you the ability to obtain a licence in time for the event

Employers Liability Insurance cover of a minimum of £5 million

Public Liability Insurance cover of a minimum of £10 million
