Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon Borough Council is pleased to announce that applications for trading at the markets below are now open. We are very excited about these events and invite you to apply below.

These fun-filled events will have something for everyone and are being promoted on various channels including social media, newspapers, flyers and signage.

BNL Productions have been appointed by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council to manage the stalls for both events. This web page has been built to ensure you get the most up-to-date information available.  This will include updates and information on Vendor applications, key contacts and other information relevant to the events.

UK Pipe Band Championships 2023

1. Saturday 10th June, 10am to 6pm. Lurgan Park, Lurgan

Buskfest 2023

1. Saturday 24th June, 4pm to 7pm. Solitude Park, Banbridge

Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on the week starting 24th April 2023

APPLICATIONS CLOSE FOR BOTH EVENTS ON FRIDAY 21ST APRIL AT 4PM

The RSPBA organise the World, Scottish, British, United Kingdom and European Pipe Band Championships as well as the World Solo Drumming Championships. These Championships allow local pipers, dancers and drummers to compete with those from across the World. The event is likely to attract up to 8,000 attendees and considerable coverage in the media.

In addition to the main event requirements of RSPBA, the event will include elements that showcase the unique setting, will add to the visitor’s experience and attract additional attendees.

Buskfest is an annual event that takes place in Banbridge town centre from 1pm – 4pm followed by the prize giving ceremony in Solitude Park, Banbridge from 4pm – 7pm. This event is likely to attract up to 4,000 attendees throughout.

Application to trade at one or both of these events must be submitted via the online application here. 

This application WILL REQUIRE a Google Account to complete it. You will be asked to upload documents and images. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one by clicking here. You will be asked to upload the following documents so please ensure you have them at hand before starting the application process. Please also ensure you read and understand the Conditions of Entry and Selection Process before completing your application. This document has all the relevant information you will need to complete your application in full.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

• Proof of registration with local authority Environmental Health Department (Food Vendors only)
• Copy of GasSafe certificate if using gas appliances (if applicable)
• Portable Appliance Test (PAT) Certificate for all electrical appliances
• Public Liability Insurance
• Sustainability Policy
• Images to show your stock and stall setup are also required (maximum of 6)

PLEASE NOTE: To have as wide a variety of quality stalls for our visitors, we would like to receive applications from many categories of trader. If we receive a large number of applications from similar traders, during selection we will limit numbers in accordance with the size of the Market site, visitor numbers and across categories.

Vendors will be required to complete set up on the following days for each of the Market events. Arrival slots will be allocated prior to the event

UK Pipe Band Championships 2023

• Friday 9th June, between 2pm and  5pm. Lurgan Park, Lurgan

Buskfest 2023

• Saturday 24th June, between 1pm and 3pm for a 4pm opening. Solitude Park, Banbridge

Traders locations will be allocated and clearly marked, these locations cannot be moved and are assigned for specific site reasons

Free Parking is available for each event

Strictly no vehicle movement is permitted before each event closes to the public

Power will be supplied by event organisers, BNL Productions as per detail provided within each application form

Trader fees must be paid as part of the application process, this will be completed when the application has been awarded. Fees can be found detailed below

Costs for traders –

• • Single Stall, 3m x 3m within marquee – £50
  • Double Stall, 6m x 3m within marquee – £100
  • Vehicle/trailer, 6m x 3m, outside – £150
