Women in Film
Diane is a huge advocate for Women in Film and that’s worth talking about. The film industry has traditionally been male-dominated, with women often struggling to get their voices heard and their talents recognised. However, supporting women in the film industry is not just about achieving gender balance or fairness. It’s also essential for the creative and economic success of the industry as a whole.
Diane believes that regardless of the role in film, all women should be given a fair opportunity for those roles too. Women can often be underrepresented in key decision-making roles such as directors, producers and writers. Just think, how many male film directors are household names in comparison to their female colleagues.
By supporting women and encouraging them to take up these positions, the industry can tap into a wealth of talent and creativity that can be overlooked. Diane’s recent work on film projects has been out in the field meeting other females working in traditionally male dominated roles such as engineering and mechanics. This further highlighted how important it is for women to put themselves forward in any role, in any industry.
As Head of Film
Having a Head of Film being led by a female is not commonplace and Diane accepted the mantle and challenge with pride. As Head of Film at BNL Productions, Diane is responsible for overseeing the company’s film projects and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Diane believes that “Team work makes the dream work”. Her leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate her team have contributed to the success of BNL Productions film department which continues to grow.
Diane’s work in corporate videos also showcases her creativity and ability to communicate a message effectively. She has worked with a wide range of clients from small businesses to large corporations. She has produced videos that inform, educate and entertain. Her experience in producing training videos has helped many companies to improve their employees’ skills and knowledge.
